If you are arriving via Dublin Airport we can also recommend a bus service that operates directly from the airport that will take you to Ballinasloe in Galway. We can meet you there and get you set up on your camper holiday.


Galway Campers Rental Terms

Please note: If you do not book in the local currency of the country where your rental takes place the payment due dates will change and
your main vehicle rental charges will be payable in full upon confirmation of your booking.
This is to lock in the currency rate of the day you booked on and avoid further currency fluctuations. Some charges like taxes,
compulsory fees, extra items may still be payable upon pick up of your vehicle in their local currency.

(Please note,
If you book in the local currency of the country where your rental takes place the standard payment terms described under the heading Payment Terms will apply.)


Important information about your rental

On arrival you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the operators of Galway Campers Company Ltd.

Here is a summary of the terms and conditions:
Definitions
The following definitions apply for the Terms and Conditions for Galway Campers Company Ltd.
-  The Supplier means the operator of Galway Campers Company Ltd.
-  The Client is also referred to as the hirer (s)
-This Agreement' means the Rental Agreement, the Insurance Motor Rental Agreement and these Terms and Conditions.

Standard Rates Includes:

Rate includes Insurance, Unlimited Mileage, VAT, Gas, Crockery, Cooking Utensils and Toilet Chemical.


Payment Methods

Accepted credit cards for online payment are: Vis and Mastercard.


Minimum Hire

The minimum hire period is 4 days.


Pick up and Drop off

Pick up times are after 3.00PM and Drop Off  time is before 10.00AM.  The hirer acknowledges having received the Vehicle in a clean condition and in sound working order in accordance with the Departure Checklist and with a full fuel tank. Vehicle is to be returned in a clean condition with a full fuel tank, on the return date and time set out under the heading 'Check in' in the Rental Agreement.
The Supplier will not refund any monies, nor have any obligation to provide a replacement vehicle, if the Vehicle is returned or the hirer ceases to have the use of the Vehicle prior to the return date for any reason e.g. Accident, weather or theft.


Rental and Other Charges

The Supplier will secure: All rental charges. The security deposit. The nominated Cleaning Fee if the vehicle is not returned as per the Cleaning Fee clause. The nominated cancellation fee in the event of cancellation of this agreement prior to acceptance of delivery of the vehicle. The insurance excess in due course of any damage to the Vehicle or the property of any third party. All government fees and duties etc. All parking fines, other fines or penalties, and/or accidents including third party property damage not reported on return of the Vehicle; and associated administration costs incurred in relation to the Vehicle during the Rental Period. The daily rental rate for the period the Vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs (demurrage). The cost to recover a Vehicle which has become bogged. Any other fees or charges payable by the Hirer pursuant to this Agreement. This includes any costs incurred by the Supplier as a result of any breach of the terms of this Agreement.

Please note: Rate is subject to €10 per day extra charge for non Irish / UK licence holders (Insurance premium loading)


Minimum Age, Authorised Drivers

The Hirer and any other driver must be over 25 and under 70 years old. Extra drivers will have a surcharge of an additional €15 per day. The licence required is a standard car licence.


Airport Delivery

The Supplier offers Airport Delivery to the following: Dublin, Shannon, Knock, Kerry, Galway and Cork. This service is available for an extra charge.


Errors in Rental Charges

Total charges as set out therein are not final. The Hirer will pay any shortfall in charges to the Supplier. Any overcharges recognised by the Supplier with be refunded in due course.


Payment of Charges Joint and Several Liability

All charges and expenses payable by the Hirer under this Agreement are due on demand by the Supplier. If full balance due is not paid on due date, the Hirer will agree to pay a late charge of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance and any collection costs incurred by the Supplier, including reasonable legal fees. When the Customer comprises of more than one person, each person is liable jointly and severally for all obligations of the customer pursuant to this Agreement.


Credit Card Payment


When payment is paid by credit card, the Hirer agrees that; the Supplier is irrevocably authorised to complete any documentation and to take any other action to recover from my credit card issuer all amounts due by me pursuant to this Agreement, including but not limited to, any amounts due in respect to damage to the Vehicle or to property of a third party and all other additional charges as they are incurred (including all parking and traffic infringement penalties, road toll fines, London congestion charges, and associated administration costs);
 The Hirer will not dispute liability to the Supplier for any amount due under this agreement and shall indemnify and keep indemnified the Supplier against any loss incurred (including legal costs) by reason of notifying the Hirers credit card issuer of such dispute. The Supplier may process the credit card voucher / imprint; in the event that the Supplier elects to accept payment of the Security Deposit by holding an open security payment which will be refunded at the completion of the Rental Period, the Supplier is entitled to recover payment from my credit card issuer pursuant to paragraph (1) in respect of any amounts due which were not known at the time of refunding of the security payment. All transactions under this agreement are conducted in Euro. Due to exchange rate fluctuations, there could be some variance between the amount initially debited against the credit card and the amount refunded within 7 days after the expiration of the rental period. The supplier is released from any liability for such variation. 


My Warranties

The Hirer warrants that all information supplied by me to the Supplier in connection with this agreement is true.



Vehicle Damage - Insurance Cover


The Vehicle is insured for damage to the Vehicle and the property of a third party; An excess for any vehicle damage will be secured. The insurance excess is €1600.00. Breach of any terms and conditions of agreement will result in the Hirer being fully responsible for the total cost of any damage.


The Hirer must pay a cash security deposit of €1000 before taking the camper on hire. This deposit is secured against vehicle  damage caused by hirer. This includes loss of skylights, mirrors, window or windscreen damage, tyre damage, and any damage to camper body. The deposit is accepted as cash or accepted credit card deduction only.


Security Deposit

On taking delivery of the Vehicle, it is agreed that a Security Deposit of €1000 will be secured. The Hirer irrevocably authorises the Supplier to deduct from the Security Deposit any amounts due arising out of this Agreement. The security deposit will be refunded within 10 working days of the vehicle being returned to the correct location, undamaged, with a clean interior and with a full fuel tank. The Supplier reserves the right to retain the Cleaning Security Deposit if the motorhome is not returned as mentioned below in the Cleaning Security Deposit information.


Cleaning Security Deposit

Vehicle is required to be returned with the interior in a clean condition and the toilet and waste water tank emptied prior to return. A Cleaning Security Deposit of €150.00 will be secured by cash or accepted credit cards at the time of pick up of vehicle and will be retained if the requirements are not met and at the discretion of  the Supplier.


Road Restrictions

All Vehicles may only be driven on sealed / bitumen roads. The hirer is not permitted to drive the motorhome through  the area known as the Connor Pass in Kerry. Insurance is void on the Connor Pass. The Supplier reserves the right at any time, at its sole discretion, to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions or any other reasonable cause. 


Use of the Vehicle

 

The Hirer will not and will not allow the Vehicle to be; Driven otherwise than in a cautious, prudent and normal manner. Used in a manner which could cause damage. Driven in a prohibited area or in an area other than the areas indicated to the Supplier. Driven by a person under the influence of alcohol or drugs or with a blood alcohol level in excess of that permitted by law.
Left with the ignition key in the vehicle while it is unoccupied. Left unoccupied and unlocked. Driven by persons: Under the age of 25 years; or persons not authorised by law to drive the Vehicle. Particulars of a proposed licensed driver of the Vehicle are set out under the heading 'Driver Details' in the Motor Rental Agreement. Damaged by: Submersion in water. Contact with Salt Water. Used for any illegal purpose for any race, rally or contest. Used to tow any vehicle or trailer. Used to carry passengers or property for hire or reward. Used to carry more persons than is permitted by any relevant authority or detailed in the Vehicle manual or on the Vehicle or specified in this agreement. Used to carry volatile liquids, gases, explosives or other corrosive or inflammable material. Otherwise used in breach of Hirers obligations under this Agreement


Alterations to the Vehicle

No alterations or additions will be done to the Vehicle without the prior consent of the Supplier.


Passengers

 

The Supplier authorises the use of these vehicles up to the stated number of passengers, i.e. the number of safety restraints provided. Each person to use the safety restraints provided at all times whilst vehicle is in motion.


Maintenance


The Hirer shall take all reasonable steps to properly maintain the Vehicle, including oil checks, water and batteries.The supplier will reimburse the Hirer for expenditure up to €50.00 reasonably incurred in rectifying any mechanical failure to the drive train and engine of the Vehicle ( not including the water system, refrigerator, heating, audio and DVD equipment ) Provided That: relevant receipts are produced; and prior consent of the Supplier has been given, The damage is not due to Hirers fault or breach of this Agreement.
Subject to the terms of this agreement, the Hirer will pay for the cost of repairing or replacing tyres damaged during the Rental Period (not including punctures) PROVIDED THAT the Supplier will reimburse the Hirer for expenditure reasonably incurred if; relevant receipts are produced; The tyre is defective and is returned by the Hirer to the Supplier for inspection; and The manufacturer accepts liability under his warranty.
The Hirer will be liable for any costs associated with the incorrect use of fuel (fuel being diesel or petrol).


Accident  Responsibility

 

In the event of any accident, loss or damage arising out of the use of the vehicle, Notification must be given to the Supplier within 24hrs of the happening of the event. Names and addresses of third parties and any witnesses must be obtained and report of names and the event to the nearest police station; Complete a European accident report form as supplied; Not make any admission of liability to other parties, settlement offer or other like offer; Assist the Supplier in handling any claim arising from any event, including providing all relevant information and attending Court to give evidence. The excess or other amount due by me in respect of any damage arising from an accident, loss or damage is payable at the time of reporting the event and not at the completion of the rental period. All costs relating to the delivery of a change over vehicle as a result of an accident regardless of which party is at fault will be paid for by the Hirer.


Terminating the Agreement


The Supplier may terminate this Agreement and repossess the Vehicle at any time, without notification to the Hirer, the Hirer  will pay the reasonable costs of repossessing the Vehicle, including towing charges if; the Hirer is in breach of any term of this Agreement; has obtained the Vehicle through fraud or misrepresentation; the vehicle appears to be abandoned; the vehicle is not returned on the agreed return date or the Supplier reasonably believes that the Vehicle will not be returned on the agreed return date; the Supplier considers on reasonable grounds, that the safety of passengers or the condition of the Vehicle is endangered. The Hirer has no rights to a refund of any part of the rental charges or the Security Deposit.


Change of Vehicle


The Supplier reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to substitute a comparable Vehicle for the Vehicle. In that event, the Hirer shall not be liable for any increased rental or other charges save for any addition running costs pertaining to the substitute vehicle. Such substitution shall not entitle the Hirer to any refund and does not constitute a breach of this Agreement.

 


Release and Indemnity the Supplier


Subject to its obligation to deliver the Vehicle or an appropriate substitute vehicle, the Hirer releases Galway Campers Company Ltd, its employees and agents, from any liability to the Hirer (regardless of who is at fault) for any loss or damage incurred by the Hirer by reason of this Agreement, including but not limited to: Any loss or damage caused by breakdown, mechanical defect, accident or the Vehicle being unsuitable for my purpose; Any loss or damage to any property left in or on the Vehicle, in any service vehicle or on any of the suppliers premises or recovered or handled by the Supplier. Subject to any insurance arrangements agreed with the Supplier, the Hirer shall indemnify and shall keep indemnified Galway Campers Company Ltd, its employees and agents against any claims, demands and expenses (including legal costs) incurred or sustained by them or any of them by reason of the Hirers use and/or possession of the Vehicle.


Title to Vehicle


The Hirer shall acknowledge that Galway Campers Company Ltd retains title to the Vehicle and that possession of the goods is as a mere bailee only. The Hirer has no right to pledge the Supplier credit in connection with the Vehicle and agrees not to do so.  The Hirer shall not agree, attempt, offer or purport to sell, assign, sublet, lend, pledge, mortgage, let on hire, or otherwise part with or attempt to part with the personal possession of or otherwise deal with the Vehicle.

 


Changes


Any changes to this agreement must be in writing and must be signed on behalf of the Supplier and the Hirer.

 


Proper Law


This agreement shall be governed by the National Law in which this agreement was signed.

 


Entire Agreement


This agreement constitutes the entire agreement of the parties and there are no other oral undertakings, warranties or agreements between the parties relating to the subject matter of this agreement. The Supplier reserves the right to add or amend any rental charges without prior notice. The Supplier reserves the right to adjust hire rates at any time. Quotes will be valid for two weeks unless a holding deposit is paid. The price will then be fixed at the agreed rate as detailed on the Hirers confirmation of booking and invoice. 

 

 

Cancellation Policy

Initial Deposit is non refundable.
For all cancellations:
6 + weeks prior to pick up  - 100 euro of the balance payable will be secured.
4 - 6 weeks prior to pick up - 20% of the balance payable will be secured.
1 - 4 weeks prior to pick up - 100% of the balance payable will be forfeited.
The Supplier will make every effort to re-let the motor home. Full payment is required should they be unable to do so.


Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of Travel Insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
